Protecting The Victims Of Child Sex Abuse

Children deserve love, compassion and safety. Unfortunately, children across the country suffer from sexual abuse each year. At Allred, Maroko & Goldberg our attorneys aggressively fight for victimized children. While the wrongs they have suffered can never truly be righted, we strive to hold perpetrators accountable and to protect other children from suffering these same ills in the future.

Since 1976, Allred, Maroko & Goldberg has given victims a voice. We use our national visibility to ensure that the victims of sexual harassment and assault are not ignored or forgotten. Our goal is to provide each victim with the support they need to flourish in years to come.

Statute Of Limitations For Child Sexual Assault

Each state sets a statute of limitations to file civil claims after a sexual assault. However, victims of childhood sexual assault may have longer to file their claims than adult sexual assault survivors.

In many states, the statute of limitations is suspended for minors. Some states also passed special extensions for child sexual assault victims. The clock to file would not start until the abuse is discovered and processed by the victim. This may not occur until the victim is well into adulthood.

Our legal team will thoroughly investigate the situation and explain how your state's laws impact your case.
